I require a meet and greet with all potential clients and pets in their home. This is complimentary and lets us get a better feel for one another while allowing me to meet the animals where they are the most comfortable.
OTHER SITTERS-
For nearly every pet sitting, especially with new clients, I will bring a “back up” sitter with me to the meet and greet. This is good for a few reasons! If there’s an emergency and I can’t make it to your pets, someone else knows how to care for them best. It also let’s someone know where I will be for safety, and makes sure I’m not alone. Their prices are the same as mine unless quoted differently by them.
NIGHT GIDO:
Personal experience with cats and dogs, professional experience with cats. She also works at Purrista Cat Cafe. Night is also my personal pet sitter and I trust her with any animals, including my own!
MATTHEW MCDONNELL:
Personal experience mostly with dogs, and some with cats, and is currently gaining professional experience with both animals! Matthew is an art student at Edinboro and loves seeing pets in his free time.
If you are uncomfortable with a back up sitter being brought to your meet and greet or pet sit, please let me know! this does not affect whether or not I will book with you. however, I do recommend having your own in place for an emergency situation. I will always let you know if I am bringing someone extra to a meet and greet, or if someone is coming in my place for a scheduled booking.

CONSTANT CARE HOUSE SITTING
What is constant care, and why is it so pricey?Extended over night care for your animals. Guaranteed care is approximately 20-22 hours a day. This must be booked a minimum of one month in advance and has a booking max of 10 days.
During these sittings, I cannot work at Purrista, nor can I accept any other normal bookings. However, most animals don't require constant care! This tends to be reserved for dogs with severe separation anxiety and cannot be left alone, or can only be crated for very short periods of time.
Constant care sits are accepted on a case by case basis. The minimum booking rate for both cats and dogs is $140 per 24 hour block. Extra fees for animals will still be applied (slightly discounted), extra fees for walks will not.

DEPOSITS, TIPPING, AND ROVER
During the meet and greet all of this will be discussed more thoroughly! This is just a run down for anyone unfamiliar with my services.
Deposits
For any booking, I accept 50% payment up front and 50% after the booking is complete. I accept cash, personal check, Paypal, and Venmo payment methods. Night and Matthew may take different methods.
Rover
If this payment situation does not feel secure enough for you, Rover is another booking option. Rover will have you pay the entire booking amount up front, but will hold the funds until three days after the end of your pet sit. This gives you time to request a refund if you deem it necessary. Rover does charge an extra 11% service fee, and takes 20% from my earnings. For example: if you book three, 60 minute drop in visits (at $32 each), the price booking off Rover is $96, The price on Rover would be $106.56, and my take home pay would be $76.80. I do not have a preference either way, and would rather clients choose what they are most comfortable with- especially new clients I don’t have a lasting relationship with yet!
Tipping
The elephant in the room- should you leave a tip? I set my prices what I want and need them to be! I never expect a tip. If you feel you were given exceptional service and want to leave one, please do! But it is absolutely never expected or anticipated.

Cancellation and Extension Policies:
☆ In order to receive the entirety of your deposit back, please give me at least one week notice that you are cancelling or altering your booking. If less than one week is given, you will be given one-half of the deposit back.☆ Constant care sittings that are canceled will forfeit the deposit, unless over three-week notice is provided. This is because I cannot accept any other bookings and cannot work my Purrista job while doing a constant care sit.☆ If your booking needs to be extended for any reason, please give as much notice as possible. I will do my best to accommodate, but it may not always be feasible.☆ If I have to cancel a booking, I will first try to find a replacement with one of my back up sitters. If they are not available, you will receive 20% off your following booking for the inconvenience.
Where are Your Pets During a Booking?:
My cats are very well loved and taken care of! My household also has my partner and roommate, so even if I’m away they get lots of attention. I also make sure to stop in for short periods while I’m gone! It does make me happy that I get asked this so often.
How Should I Prepare for a Booking?:
☆ Some things depend on the type of booking and animal, and some things are pretty universal.☆ Comprehensive notes including animal’s schedules, feeding instructions, veterinary information, where to dispose of animal waste like litter and dog bags, and locations of cleaning supplies for accidents or spills are appreciated. For dogs- location of leashes, doggy bags, and weather gear like coats or paw wax. For cats, where extra litter is stored and hiding locations for shy friends.
Have You Turned Down Bookings Before?:
☆ Yes, I have turned down bookings before.
The biggest things that will make me say no to a sitting are: general safety (this can mean anything from aggressive animals to pests in the home), rude/unkind owners, and me having a lack of availability.
Do You Do Boarding/Daycare/Etc?:
☆ Not at this time. We have four cats at home and they do not like company.
Hazardous Weather:
In the event of unsafe weather, bookings will be slightly modified.☆ No dog walks will occur in sub-zero wind chill. Instead a lengthy bathroom break will be given, with enough time to pee and poop. Extra booking time will be converted to indoor cuddle/enrichment time.☆ No dogs will be walked under twenty degree wind chill without adequate snow gear, including (but not limited to) paw wax, winter coat, etc.) If a walk is booked, and I arrive there is not appropriate gear for the dog, it will be converted to a bathroom break like a sub-zero walk.
➜ Please note that coats are not required for winter-breed dogs like Huskies, Malamutes, Samoyeds, etc.☆ In hail, lightning, or potential tornado conditions, walks will be postponed until conditions have subsided enough to be safe for both me and the dog.
Can I Opt Out of a Back Up Sitter?:
☆ Absolutely! I will never bring someone else to your home, with or without you present, without 100% clearance from you first. If you decide against one of my other sitters in case of emergency, I recommend having a neighbor or friend with a house key that is able to access the animals in case an issues arise.

Cricket

Winona
Sunny was absolutely wonderful with my two anxious gals Winona and Cricket. It can be tough to find someone to even work with my one cat Cricket, who’s not overly trusting of strangers and has a fear response of aggression, but Sunny did not seem phased with her. They also had no problem administering both of their oral medications correctly and sent us pictures and updates with every visit. They really understand and know how to work with cats! Hopefully we can book with them again. <3

Jake
Sunny is a warm, generous person. My dog immediately became friends with them. Sunny is professional and detail-oriented. Highly recommend them.

Willow
Sunny is the best!

Beals, et al (The Kitten Crew)
When it comes to cats, Sunny is the real deal. She was fantastic with our (many!) cats and kittens and took extra care when looking after a momma cat and her six kittens we were fostering, ensuring that everyone got a little extra love and human-time while we were away. Sunny's communication was great with us and she was on top of everything, sending pictures every day. Five stars, best cat sitter in Erie.

Sunny was great :) We were almost panicking but it made my husband and I feel better that they were taken care of by a cat lover also. And a professional 👌. Her communication was stellar! Our fur babies were happy and healthy after 6 days being away! Even our most shy cat came around to her. He is a rescue. And for him to come out and trust her is amazing!! That is fur baby love!! We will definitely book Sunny again in the future:) PS. She even brought a package in off the porch and brought it in and told us about it! That is top notch service!

Freyja + Crew
We had a last minute drop in request for the holidays since we didn't get our own work schedules until later on, but Sunny was thankfully available and able to fit us into their schedule. Our works are often fluid and sometimes change so we feel bad for last minute requests but Sunny was super great to work with. We have a lot of kiddos, feline and doggo, and some have very particular personalities, so we are always cautious of having new people work with them since we don't expect them to know all the intricacies of every personality in just a single meetngreet etc. Thankfully the kids all seemed happy and well taken care of when we returned and Sunny did a great job at communicating with us, sent plenty of photos and let us know how all the kids were doing, even the ones who didn't want much to do with them lol. Others were super happy to have some extra attention during the day and you can definitely tell from the photos we got, so we are happy to have Sunny take care of them again when the need arises and you should feel comfortable reaching out, too!
